Skylanders Speed Drawing & Coloring Pages

Three years ago, I was given an amazing opportunity to work on Skylanders at Toys for Bob. Working closely with the studio head, Paul Reiche (of Star Control fame), we've crafted all of the Skylanders, and many other creatures and critters of Skylands.

Here is my speed drawing of all 32 Skylanders. Software used is Sketchbook Pro, my drawing tool of choice.

Me and my son at the local Toys R Us on Launch day..... look at all of the character toys!

And here are some coloring pages for the kids, just right click and select save, then print out the PDF:

  2. Absolutely wonderful design on these lively characters; just the right amounts of tough and cute- would be great as-is, but they even come with a cool video game ;)

  10. @Anonymous sorry for the confusion.... it depends on the browser that you are using. To make it clearer, I've changed it to "Right click to save" and made it bold. The file links are correct, you just need to save the PDF by right clicking. Enjoy coloring with your daughter!

  21. Thank you for your great work on Skylanders. I love these coloring pages. I've been printing them out and coloring them during downtime at work using colored pencils, crayons and more. I then bring them home for my daughter for her to hang up on her wall. She loves them. I was wondering if you might do more of these to include the new team members from each element so then all six from each would be in the image. Any plans to do that?

  27. I ran across the drawing/picture on the internet and was interested in using it for background art on the Skylanders Blog I am in. I don't like using artwork I haven't made myself without attempting to get in touch with the artist first. So I tried to hunt down where it came from....lol!
Lo and Behold-it was you!!! (Below is the post I put up about it on our blog)

    1. Wow, no one asks for permission on the Internet! Are you trying to break it? Once on the Internet, it's out there. My only hope is that at least a few people like you would want to pass it around, and actually give me credit and link backs. So thanks! I haven't seen that colored version, where did you find it? It is brilliant, very well done!

  28. Lol!...Happy to surprise you in good way!
I found the colored version posted up on deviantart. It was named Skylanders V3.0.
Colored by a Student Digital Artist: Altaeyyr.

Here is the link to the page:

Altaeyyr provided a link back to this site (yours) as the source. (So that's two people who are giving you credit!)
He/She put up these comments about coloring your picture:
"Thank you. It took a long time. :D
I did not draw this image, I just coloured it in. I saw someone else had coloured in parts of it (I don't remember who) and I thought I would too. I got the full picture from here: [link]"

I agree with you, by the way: The colored version looks great. It caught the eye as a standout when I was browsing.
Well, Thank you for responding. We will certainly give you credit and link back to you here on the blog!
And I'll formally extend an invitation to you! Swing by Skylanderclub.com if you'd like. I recently posted up pictures of "Duelist Gearshift". You might get a kick out of it. She's a custom figure, splitting her gear into the two hands pose. The site itself was recently started up by 1ofWiisdom (great name!..lol) He's been making really enjoyable YouTube video's about Skylanders since SSA started. We would be honored if you ever wanted to post anything up.
In any case, thanks again for your time. My family and I really enjoy your work.
